Rest-client 1.7.3 is now available on GitHub and RubyGems.org:

There are two minor changes:
- rest-client will no longer log the password from a URI even if
logging is enabled (issue #349, also reported as OSVDB-117461)
- rest-client no longer monkey patches MIME::Types (the functionality
should be unchanged)
